GET DATA (Add-on for Google Sheets)

"Get Data" is a tool as well as a function I created in Google Sheets to extract data from websites and text. Use this tool to pull data from sites directly into sheets without having to physically visit webpages. Right now it is primarily used to extract product data from certain online stores but can atcually be applied to anything.

Please be aware that it does not extract data from certain websites such as Amazon and Walmart (unless you use API). Generally, it tends to work best for more obscure websites but also works with some more popular sites as well.

Ongoing Development

This tool is extensible meaning that more websites and data elements can be added to the tool without creating a new version. Only an update on the library version number is needed on the user side.

The source code will soon be provided for those who want to add coding for more websites or enhance its power using API services.

Note: If you do not see a button option on a tool that you saw in an older video then please check the menu item that I have added to the top on more recent versions of the tool. It will be preceded with a gear icon ⚙️
