Amazon ASIN Data Scraper for Google Sheets
In the past we have had two choices to get data from Amazon products. Use paid software or manual copy and paste. But now there is a third choice...and I call it "Auto Manual" scraping. This means having your computer automatically open up webpages right in your browser and copy their data directly to Google sheets.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to this approach:
Advantages
- No cost (you will not pay anything to scrape a certain number of products)
- No actual limits (scrape all day if you want to)
- Not detectable (you're essentially just copying/pasting the data.)
Disadvantages
-Slower speed than API
This is not a fast way to scrape, because it is actually loading each webpage "manually". Also, delay is added between steps to mimic more natural browsing. This helps to prevent "you seem like a robot...click the box" prompts from the website.
I can't think of any other disadvantage except this one. Can you? Let me know if you do...
